The best tacos in town!!! And probably the best South of Los Angeles, which says a lot. No frills just delicious! And they are under $2.00
This place only does tacos. Which to me is good.
They are always busy!!!
They only take cash. -

This place has fantastic street tacos! I've had the carne asada which was full of flavor, the al pastor and carnitas which were succulent and juicy, and the buche. The buche was good to me. Since it was my first experience with it I'm not sure if it's supposed to taste any differently but it didn't have any particular wow factor like the rest of their meats that I've tried.
I still come here almost every week for their tacos. The salsa is excellent! I drench my tacos in the stuff. And the carne asada never fails to be amazing.
I took away one star because there is a lack of consistency in their sides. Some days the roasted jalapeños are perfect and others they weren't roasted enough or seasoned at all. Sometimes they have limes but they seem to run out and substitute with lemons which don't compliment the flavors of the tacos quite as well. I do realize there are seasons to things but I've never run into a Lomé shortage anywhere else.
Anyway, I would hands down recommend this place. It's very good and very filling. -

Oh hello, delicious authentic tacos!!! One of my friends grew up in Whittier so while I was visiting her, she had to take me to her high school hangout spot. Man am I glad that she did because I love tacos and I loved the ones here! I had the Lengua and Tripa Tacos, and they were tasty! Good tortillas, good meat, good toppings, everything I needed. Oh and they were unbelievably cheap! $3 for an entire meal (and I've unfortunately paid more than $3 for just one taco before). It's a no frills hole in the way spot with great tacos. What more could you want?

It was my first time here and I ordered 3 tacos total. 1 asada taco, 1 sesos (brain) taco and 1 tripas taco. The asada taco was a little tough compared to other spots but the flavor was on point. It was my first time trying Sesos and it was amazing. It was tender flavorful and this might just be my new favorite taco meat. I definitely recommend this spot!

Chemas is favored if you're a Whittier local.
I've heard people say best Tacos in Whittier,
I like to add Tacos are a way of life for me and I tried Chemas today for the 2nd time with an opened mind and mouth.. lol
I just can't agree. Like others have mentioned the meat alone is not that good. It's a little under cooked with not much but the grill(metal) taste.
Asada
Tripas
Al pastor
were all a little light colored and the tripas alone were way to soft and slimey.
Tacos come topped with the goods so be warned you need to ask if you want plain.
The Horchata started off good but the refill I had to open and check inside it because I got an off taste.
It's small spot and parking is a b****!!
Atm inside pretty convenient.. Booom!
They only sell tacos and drinks, so I wish they'd put a little more Respeck on TACOS!
The salsa was good!
